Under Mosaic and its JavaScript-based editor, there is a whole powerful layout ecosystem making Diazo, portlets and viewlets almost obsolete.
This talk is about the building blocks of Mosaic: layouts, tiles, slots, and panels.
After I used Mosaic blocks myself in a project with twelve sites I trained two customer teams to use it.
The talk will include with an overview.
I will show how to build and integrate layouts, how to write a simple reusable tile and use it in the layout.
I will go more into the detail of what happens behind the scenes, such as subrequests and transform chains.
There will be time for a short QA-session.
