Asko Soukka

Asko Soukka (M.Sc) works as a system designer at University of Jyväskylä, Finland, designing, developing and maintaining Plone and Python based web services for the university. Asko has master's degrees on user friendly information systems and cognitive science. University of Jyväskylä has been using Zope and Plone from their first releases, and is currently migrating its Plone based web sites from Plone 4 to Plone 5.

Asko has been working with Plone since 2004, and is a member of Plone Foundation. Asko has many small code contributions all around the current Plone releases, but is also know for his greater contributions on Robot Framework testing integration for Plone, and bringing Plone Deco innovations to life as Plone Mosaic. Asko has also volunteered as a mentor for Plone Foundation projects on Google Summer of Code, and organized a Plone development sprint at University of Jyväskylä.

Recently, Asko has been contributing on making it faster to iterate on designs and features of Plone based web sites and services. With his work on Webpack built extended (aka "fat") themes for Plone 5, it's possible to deploy many kinds of customized features instantly, and shorter design iterations should help reaching better user experience faster.
