Carsten Agger

Carsten is active in the Free Software Foundation Europe since 2012. Since 2014, he has been collaborating with the Technoshamanism and Mocambos networks in Brazil - these are technological projects that work with the integration of free software and free technology and traditional (afro-Brazilian and indigenous) communities.

MSc in phyics and computer science, employed as a developer since 1996. Spent many years coding proprietary software in C/C++, changed to free software focusing on Apache, Linux and Python and various web frameworks in 2009.

Since 2011, I've worked exclusively with free software in Python with a focus on Django, Plone, Flask and PostgreSQL. Magenta's main Plone developer since 2012. The last couple of years, I've been focusing on providing open standards-based software for local governments to support them in their attempt to break free of vendor lock-in from our closed-source and non-open-standards competitors.
